RANGIORA CLUB SUCCESSFUL CARNIVAL A successful swimming carnival was held at the Rangiora fcaths last evening in aid of the Gold Queen (Miss Thelma Peach). There was a good attendance. MEN PLACED AT COOGEE (UNITES PRISS ASSOCIATION—COPTRIOIIT.) SYDNEY, February 24. At the Coogee surf carnival in the junior surf racee, the New Zealander, H. Goldsmith, was third to A. Imrie (Queensland) and J. Yeomans (Bondi). New Zealand representatives filled several places in yesterday's events. In the international belt race, competing with picked beltmen from five Australian states, A. T. Dalton was placed third to F. Bennett (New South Wales) and Tom Boast (Queensland). In the first heat of the senior belt race, an open event, A. T. F. Stokes was third to Clem Walsh, of Bondi, and L> McKay, of Narrabeen. D. H. Symes started in a special first-class aurf race but was unplaced. The weather was warm and there was a large attendance.
