CANTERBURY CENTRE MEETING international rule in COATES CUP The Canterbury Amateur Cycling Centre continued its series of * evening meetings at English Park yesterday. The first race for the Coates Cup was run under international conditions for the first time. The first club to win three races will be declared the winner. Results:— . One and a half Miles Handicap—First heat: L. Blick (210 yds) 1, K. Blakcway (320 yds) 2, L. Green (180 yds) 3, E. A. McKaskell (210 yds) 4. Time, 3min 4 4-ssec. Second heat; T. Bindley (60yds) I, K. Robinson (100 yds) 2, K. Johnston (160 yd!*) 3, A. J. Tomson (100 yds) 4. Time, 3min 18 l-ssec. Final: K. B. Blakeway 1, T. Llndley 2, ‘A. J. Tomson 3. Time, 3min 13 4-ssec. Won by 55 yards. Coates Cup, Teams’ Pursuit Race, four kilometres (about two and a quarter miles)—Papanui (T. A. Grose, T. Bindley, A. J. Bancaster, and K. Johnston) beat Technical (G. R. Giles. K. Robinson. A. J.
