NEW VICAR INDUCTED

* SERVfCE AT HOLY TRINITY, AVONSIDE The Rev. W. S. Southward was inducted as vicar of Avonside Holy Trinity Church last evening. The Rev. G. L. Harold, vicar of Phillipstown, and the Rev. I. L. Richards, vicar of St. Luke’s, assisted the Bishop. There was a large congregation, including several members of the clergy. After the Bishop had delivered the Letters of Institution to the new vicar the senior churchwarden (Mr R. W. Smith) gave him the keys of the church, vicarage, and school, and thus acknowledged him as the vicar of the parish. When the induction ceremony had been completed the Bishop gave an address.
