ACCIDENTS
* LEG BROKEN WITH IRON PIPE MAN TRIES TO STOP BULL FIGHT When he was trying to separate two fighting bulls with a short length of iron pipe in a paddock on his father's property at Motukarara on Wednesday afternoon, Alex Miller, aged about 32, misjudged a swing at the bulls and struck his left leg, breaking it in two places. Miller was riding a horse at the time and was able to escape safely. ~(.■-> The accident occurred about o'clock, a St. John Ambulance being summoned from Christchurch to take Miller to the Christchurch Public Hospital His condition last evening was reported to be very satisfactory. MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED IN COLLISION A 17-year-old youth, Roy Cooksley, who lives at 17 Tonks street, North New Brighton, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital last evening suffering head injuries received in a collision between a motorcycle and a motor-car at the Intersection of Osborne terrace and Tonks street, shortly before 7 o'clock. Cooksley, the motor-cyclist, was taken to hospital suffering from concussion. His condition late last evening was reI ported to be not serious.
