At St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Ashburton, the wedding was celebrated of Kathleen Isobel, second daughter of Mr and Mrs H. A. Cox, Chertsey. to Thomas Martin, only son of Mr and Mrs Urquhart, Perth, Scotland. The Rev. G. Miller officiated. The. church was decorated by friends of the bride. • The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a magnolia satin trained frock, with ncedierun lace yoke trimmed with tiny satin buttons at the biick, and silk girdle at the waist. Her white embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a halo of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of regal lilies and maidenhair fern. Her sister, Mrs B. Culloty. was matron of honour. wore a Nile green floral frock made with bolero coatee, and a bandeau to tone. Her bouquet was of shaded abutilons, lemon arum lilies, and gladioli. The little flower girl. Natalie Holmes, a cousing of the bride, wore a frock of lemon sprigged organdi trimmed with frills, and her headdress was of lemon flowers. She carried a posy to tone. She presented the bride with a lucky horseshoe. Mr C. G. Kennedy was best man.
Mrs Cox received the guests at the reception wearing a frock of black figured silk marocain and black hat. Her bouquet was of red carnations. The bride travelled in a brown pinstriped costume and brown straw hat trimmed with tangerine and green. NIXON—KROENINft The wedding was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth, of Leonard Maurice Nixon, nephew of Mr and Mrs L. W. Mellor. Ngahcre, and Kathleen Leala, daughter of Mr and Mrs F. W. Kroening. of Biaketown. Archdeacon J. A. Jermyn performed ihe ceremony, and Mrs Farfltt was organist. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a trained gown of ivory matalasse, made with a cowl rcckline caught with diamente clips and long sleeves of Brussels lace. Her halo hat of silk straw was trimmed with pleated tulle, and she carried a sheath of Christmas lilies and white roses.
Miss Beatrice Mellor. cousin of the bridegroom, wps bridesmaid. She wore a frock of rose pink silk net over rose satin, and a halo of pink rosebuds mounted on satin bands. Her bouquet was of roses and carnations. Mr H. A. Hogg, of Greymouth, was best man. The reception was held at the Municipal Band Hall, where Miss D. Kroenin?, sister of the bride, and Mrs L. W Mellor received their guests. When Mr and Mrs L. M. Nixon left for a tour of the cast coast, the bride was wearing a brown Horal silk corded frock and hat to tone.
