TRAMWAY TIME
Commenting on a letter to the Editor of “The Press” yesterday under the heading of “Tramway Time,” the general manager of the Christchurch Tramway Board (Mr H. E. Jarman) was reported to have said that the clock in the tramway depot was checked regularly at 7 a.xn. each day by the General Post Office clock, which is synchronised with radio time. Mr Jarman has since made it clear that the clock at the depot is synchronised each day with the clock in the tramway shelter in Cathedral square, both being checked by radio time.
