MAN INJURED WHEN TRUCK LEAVES ROAD

When the tyre of a wood lorry in which he was riding blew out, Leslie Hill, a labourer, of Christchurch, was pinned in the cab of the lorry after it overturned. Hill claimed any further compensaiton or relief which the Court might consider him entitled to. The case was heard by Mr Justice Northcroft, who had associated with him Messrs A. L. Monteith (workers' representative) and W. Cecil Prime (employers' representative). After a short deliberation the Court returned, giving judgment that .compensation should be calculated on total incapacity for three months, at 50 per cent, of total incapacity for the next three months, and thereafter at 5 per cent, of the total incaoacitv for the rest of the period of liability.
