COMPENSATION CLAIM FAILS
Reserved judgment was given yesiterday in the case heard in the Court of Arbitration on Thursday in which David Sutherland, a labourer of Ashburton, claimed from the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company, Ltd., of Christchurch, damages amounting to £4O 4s for injuries said to have been sustained while Sutherland was in the employment of the company. The claim was heard before Mr Justice Northcroft and Messrs A. L. Monteith. and W. Cecil Prime. Mr K. G Archer appeared for the claimant, and Mr C. S. Thomas for the defendant. In giving judgment for the defendant, his Honour said the Court was satisfied that Southland had suffered no loss of his earning capacity.
