INFANTILE PARALYSIS
ONE POSITIVE NOTIFICATION;
THREE SUSPECTS
Four notifications of infantile paralysis were received yesterday by the assistant medical officer of health for the Canterbury and Westland district. Dr. J. Boyd. Only one of them so far is positive. . The positive case is a girl aged 10 years from Fairlie. Th« suspects are a girl aged four years, living at Woolston, a boy of 12 in the Ellesmere County, and a girl aged 15 living at Temuka.
FIRST CASE IN NELSON
DISTRICT
NELSON. April 30.
The first case of infantile paralysis in the Nelson district was admitted to hospital from Owen river. 50 miles from Nelson. The case is a girl, aged 11, who has moderate paralysis of one leg. ■
