WOMEN'S TEMPERANCE UNION
Miss Henderson presided at the opening meeting this year of the Christchurch branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Messages of sympathy in their illnesses were sent to Mrs Barker and Mrs Trevurza. It was announced that the garden party had been postponed. The president read an account of the temperance work being done by thp "Y." organiser (Miss K. McLay) among the young Maoris. It was reported that Willard day would be observed at the next meeting.
