JAPANESE IMPORTS
* MODIFIED DUTIES PROPOSED NO .MENTION OF WOOL (Received December 25, 10.5 p.m.) TOKYO, December 24. The Tariff Commission has announced a schedule of modified duties on 692 imported articles, which the Diet will be asked to sanction, but it is slated that wool has been specifically left in abeyance. The conspicuous omission of wool, which at present carries no duty, indicates that the Government contemplates making a levy in accordance with circumstances.
