SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Dr. and Mrs L. S. Talbot and family, Te Weka street, are spending a holiday at the river. Mr and Mrs E. S. Elworthy (Four Peaks) will spend Christmas with Mrs T R. Rhodes (Hadlow Grange). Mrs H. Hay ("Cadogan," Sefton street) left yesterday to visit Oamaru. Mr and Mrs T. Black, Wai-iti road, will leave this week on a visit to Akaroa. . . , „,, Mrs M. C. Tolly, principal of the Craighead Diocesan School, left yesterday for Christchurch. Mr and Mrs W. Fussell (Wellington) and Mr and Mrs F. Fussell (Napier) will arrive to-day to stay with Miss Fussell, Russell square. Miss Foster, who has been visiting friends in South Canterbury, will be the guest of Mrs A. E. Kerr (Belmont, Cave), for Christmas. Miss Isabel Duncan, Craighead street, will leave to-morrow for a holiday in Wanganui. Mr and Mrs L. J. O'Connell, Elizabeth street, will leave this week to spend a holiday in Auckland. Mrs H. Bannerman, Sarah street, left yesterday to visit Mrs S. Holmes (Methven).
