FATAL CRASH AT HESTON
* WIDOW AWARDED DAMAGES LONDON, December 21. In saying that the accident ought never to have happened, Mr Justice Goddard in the King’s Bench Division, awarded £ 10,000, plus funeral expenses of £ 25, to the widow of Major Fosbroke Hobbes against British American Air Service, Ltd., whose aeroplane, which had been chartered to take a private party to the naval review at Spithead, crashed when taking off from Heston aerodrome and caught fire, two being killed and five injured.
