ATTEMPTED MURDER ALLEGED
AIRMAN SHOT BY WOMAN LONDON, December 21. A sequel to yesterday’s shooting of Pierre Lallemant in an aeroplane at Trappes was provided at Selsey, where a machine piloted by a woman crashed at dusk yesterday. The police withheld her name. She suffered shock and cuts, and was assisted by a doctor and two priests. She said that she had no idea she was over England. Later she gave the name of Madame SchmederThalleput. The examining magistrate at Versailles has issued a summons against Madame Schmeder-Thalleput to appear for examination. It will be sent to the British Foreign Office. The “Daily Mail” has been officially advised that the French have instructed the Sussex police to 'arrest Irene Schmeder-Thalleput on a charge of attempted murder.
