NELSON-WAIMEA POWER BOARD
VOTING ON £70,000 LOAN PROPOSAL
(PAIS! ASSOCIATIOK TILIOKAU.V WELLINGTON, December 15. The Nelson-Waimea Power Board (Waimea area) carried by 675 votes to 173 their £70,000 reticulation loan proposal for hydro,-electric power from the Hume (Cobb River) HydroElectric Company's scheme. The company is erecting its stand-by plant, first to assist the city and district and meet the immediate shortage, and to build up the load so that larger purchases of power will be made when the main hydro-electric works are completed within two years.
