INVALIDITY PENSIONS
APPLICATIONS LODGED IN CHRISTCHURCH Efforts are being made by the Pensions Department in Christchurch to deal with by the end of the present month all the invalidity pension applications lodged up to October 5. The Minister for Pensions (the Hon. W. E. Parry) stated last night that there had been no unavoidable delay in considering pension claims. • The removal of the department’s offices to new quarters had necessarily placed on the officers additional work, which had upset their duties a little, but to-day the work of the department was being done with the utmost dispatch.
