NEW COURTHOUSE FOR BLENHEIM
TENDERS TO BE CALLED THIS WEEK

BLENHEIM, October 7.
Details of the new courthouse for Blenheim, tenders for which are expected to be called this week, show that the building will be one of the most up-to-date in New Zealand. Provision is made for elaborate accommodation. including two courtrooms and rooms for the judge, magistrate, solicitors. registrar, jury, and a general office. Special treatment of the walls and flooring will ensure satisfactory acoustics The building will be of a single storey of reinforced concrete, faced with granite to a height of four feet six inches, and the general design is simple. It is expected that the tenders will close in about a month, and that the construction will begin soon afterwards.
