CONTROL OF ITALY’S EMPIRE
COUNCILS APPOINTED BY THE
CABINET
(Received July 5, 10.45 p.m.)
ROME, July 4,
The Cabinet has approved that Marshal Badoglio, as a token of national gratitude, should receive the pay of a commander-in-chief — £SOOO a year.
The Cabinet passed decrees establishing councils administering agriculture, industry, trade, transport, and the control of private enterprise in the East African Empire.
It also approved of an increase in Air Force personnel for the proposed unit, which is unofficially estimated to involve the training of pilots for 1000 additional machines.
