SEPARATE MINISTERS FOR BURMA
(Bsmsa oinciii wibilbm.) (Received June 12, 8.21 p.m.) RUGBY, June 11. The Prime Minister (Mr Stanley Baldwin) announced in the House of Commons that the Government had decided that following the separation of Burma from India there should be a separate Secretaryship of State for Burma, and also the new office of Parliamentary Undersecretary of State. For reasons of practical convenience the secretaryship and the under-secretaryship for Burma would for the present be held by the same persons as the secretaryship and under-secretary-ship for India. The Burma office would be housed at the India Office.
