SWITZERLAND LOOKS TO DEFENCES
VOTE OF £15,000,000 (Received June 12, 7.5 p.m.) BERNE, June 11. The Council of the States has approved a credit of £15,000,000 to strengthen Swiss defences. Half will be devoted to anti-aircraft defences for the principal cities, and the remainder to fortifications, armaments, and aeroplanes.
