RIFLE SHOOTING
CANTERBURY COLLEGE TEAM CHOSEN
The following team to represent Canterbury College in the Haslam Shield contest is the final selection of the committee of the College Defence Rifle Club:-H. V. Baigent W. R. Boyce, A. H. Holland, E. M. Jones, H. C. Jones, J. N. Matson, A. H. Meikleham, D. W. Oxnam, I. O. Stace, H. M. Sweney, N. Wilde, and B. S. Wilkie. CHRISTCHURCH DEFENCE CLUB The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club fired its sixth and final two-range competition at Tai Tapu on Saturday in fine weather. Several good scores were registered at 500 yards, while F. Hiscock, J. Chapman, and D. Murray scored 47 j each at 600 yards. Shooting at 500 yards, A. Bruning put on 49 out of 50, A. Halmshaw and D. Harries 48 each. Scores were:— 500 yds. 600 yds. Hep. TI.
