BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL AT NORTH BEACH

PRIZES PRESENTED AT CELEBRATIONS

The final celebrations of the thirteenth anniversary of the North Beach Baptist Church were held last evening. More than 80 scholars sat down to th« anniversary tea. There was a large attendance at the annual concert and prizegiving. The Rev. E. W. Grigg, M.A., presided. A special feature of the concert 'was the chorus singing by the children, led by Mr Grigg. Solos were > given by Misses Una Mitchell. Khoda Mitchell, Gwen O'Neill, and Mr Lawrence Carr. Mrs E. B. Dlehi played the piano and Mi«s U M. Dudney. L.R.S.M., played the organ. Pastor J. Crawford, St. Albans Church of Christ, gave a very instructive address, taking as his subject. "Jesus as a Child."' The annual report presented by the secretary, Mr'Trevor Dodge, showed the school to be in a strong position numerically, and the finances to have a credit balance. Prize List Mrs A. Noonan. superintendent, presented the prizes as follows: Kindergartens-Pauline Henley 1, Lindsay Potter 2, Grace Swaney 3. Miss Carr's Class—Valerie Noye 1, Betty Maclure 2. Miss McFeddriaa' Class—Bernie Hunt 1. James Moore 2, Peter Snell 8. Miss Lawn's Class—lda Steven* 1, Jean Whitford 2. Mr Carr's Class—Robert MacKire 1, Anthpny Lawson 2. Miss Aston's Class—Una Mitchell 1, Dorothy Brand 2. Mr Dodge's Class—Ray Swaney 1, Lawrence Carr 2. Phillip Lawson 3. Miss Donnelly's Class—Gwen O'Neill 1. Rhoda Mitchell 2. Junior Bible Class—Bruce Swaney 1, Allan Swaney 2, David Williams 3. Special Prizes—Audrey Thomson, Blossom Morgan, Allan Bond, Peter Swaney. Special prise for introducing iargert number of scholars—Gwen O'Neill, Two Presentations At the annual concert ,of the North Beach Baptist Sunday School last evening the Rev, E. W. Grigg and Mrs, A, Noonan, superintendent, were each,presented with a framed photograph of the Sunday School scholars, as an appreciation of their work for the Sunday School.
