MOB VIOLENCE IN SPAIN
♦— : CHURCHES AND CONVENTS DESTROYED TWO KILLED IN MADRID (Received March 11, 9.50 p.m.) MADRID, March 10. Mob violence reduced many churches and convents to ruins at Cadiz and elsewhere. At Granada theatres, shops, and clubs were set on fire. Troops were called out and many were "injured. A censorship has been imposed. Socialists were holding a meeting in the street in Madrid when shots were fired from a taxi. Two were killed. After this the crowd raided the Catholic Party's premises as a reprisal.
