PARTY AT FENDALTON
MBS JACK ANPEBSON HONOURED
' Mrs W. H. Symes and her daughter, Mrs M. H. Godby. were hostesses yesterday at a particularly enjoyable buffet luncheon and bridge party given at Mrs Godby’s hone at Fendalton, in honour of Mrs Jack Anderson. The guests, all friends of Mrs Anderson, were thus afforded an opportunity of saying good-bye to her under very pleasant conditions, for, after a residence of many years in Christchurch, she will leave at the end of next week to make her home in Dunedin. Pink and blue hydrangeas, zinnias, and roses decorated the reception rooms, and, after lunch, a bridge party was held. Other guests, who did not play cards, arrived tor tea. These were Mrs John Anderson. Mrs Deans, Lady Wigram, airs M. Lewin, Mrs E. S. Vernon, Mrs J. F. Buchanan, and Mrs R. Winter. The bridge players were Mrs Jack Anderson, Miss Dorothy Anderson, Mrs H- Kitson, Mrs P. A. Nancarrow and Miss Nancarrow. Mrs Guy Ronalds, Miss Rita Cracroft Wilson, Mrs George McDraith, Miss D. Humphreys, Mrs Donald McLean, Mrs E. T. Reece, Mrs H. S. Lawrence, Mrs John Stevenson, Mrs T, Y. Wardrop, Mrs Walter Fox, Mrs T, L. Cowlishaw, Miss Joan Lee, Miss Cowlishaw. Mrs C. W. Reid, Mrs John Guthrie. Mrs Neil Guthrie, Miss Harley, Miss H, Denniston, Mrs Gerald Anderson, and Mrs J. H. Halt
