At the Leichhardt Stadium, Lurich beat Joe Dawson by two submission falls to one. ELMAVOOD CKOQUET CLUB The annual meeting and prize-giving of the Elmwood Croquet Club was held on Tuesday afternoon, Mrs Ackroyd presiding. The annual report and treasurer's report proved satisfactory. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs Ackroyd; vice-presi-dents. Mesdames Lennie. Allen, and Corrick; secretary, Mrs Corrick; assistant secretary. Mrs Adam Smith; treasurer, Mrs Rogers; executive committee, Mesdames Osment. Calvert. J. A. Johnston, and Adam Smith; captain, Mrs Lennie; deputy-captain Mrs Park; social conveners. Mesdames Calvert and Oakey; games committee, Mesdames Lennie, Park, W. Johnston, Ackroyd, and Carrell; grounds committee, Mesdames Lennie, Park, and Osment. It was arranged to begin the weekly bridge afternoons to-morrow.
