GALE DAMAGE IN VICTORIA

The Japanese freighter Mansei Maru, laden with wheat and woo), was aground for two hours in a channel off WilliamsLown during a fierce southerly gale on Friday and yesterday. The vessel was released after a battle by two tugs. A fishing ketch was dashed to pieces and jetties and foreshores damaged.
