WEEK-END FIXTURES Lyttelton Amateur Swimming Club, Corsair Bay, this afternoon, swimming races. Harbour Light Theatre, to-day, 2.30 and 8. "Sons of the Desert." Diamond Harbour Tennis Club, tomorrow, mixed open doubles tournament. Holy Trinity Church, to-morrow, 9 a.m., Holy Communion; 11 a.m., Matins; 6.30 p.m., Evensong. Salvation Army, to-morrow, services at 7.30 and 11 a.m., and 7 p.m.; Sunday School at 10.15 a.m. and 2.15 p.m. Harbour Light Theatre Stanley Laurel, with Oliver Hardy, will be seen in the comedy feature, "Sons of the Desert," at the Harbour Light Theatre this afternoon and evening, and on Monday evening. Assisting in the cast are Charley Chase, Mae Busch, and Lucien Littlefleld. The short subjects include a travelogue, "Papua," a gazette, and "Hello Poop," a musical revue in colour. Train and Launch Services On Monday evening the usual 5.15 p.m., and 6.16 p.m. trains from Christchurch to Lyttelton will not run. Special trains will leave Christchurch at 5.33. 5.40, 5.52, 6.13. and 6.23 p.m. During the evening trains will return from Lyttelton to Christchurch at short intervals. The passenger boats of the Lyttelton Ferry Launches, Ltd., will run excursions out into the harbour during the departure of H.M.A.S. Australia, leaving the launch jetties from 7 p.m. To enable Diamond Harbour residents to witness the departure of the warship a launch will leave there at 6.45 p.m., returning after the departure of the warship.
