NEW THEATRE FOR HOKITIKA
♦ CENTRAL SITE CHOSEN A company has been formed to 1 erect and operate a new theatre in Hokltika. A very central and valuable site, situated in Weld street in the centre of the business area, has been purchased. The building, for which plans have been completed, and on which work is to be commenced almost immediately, is to be constructed of reinforced concrete, incorporating the latest in theatre design. The name 6f the building will be the Jubilee Theatre, and it will have a seating capacity for about 700 persons.
