LEPERS AT MAKOGAI
* CHRISTMAS CHEER FUND To provide Christmas cheer for the 427 lepers isolated at Makogai, Fiji, gifts of money amounting to £167 7s Id have been received. The Minister for Railways and the PostmasterGeneral have reduced charges to half rates on all parcels from the South Island, sent, to Mr P. J. Twomey of the Christchurch Gas Company, who is directing the appeal in Christchurch. The. appeal will close on Saturday next, November 17.
