AMBERLEY CLUB The annual meeting of the Amberley Golf Club was held on Tuesday evening, Mr I. G. Gricrson presiding. The report stated that the season had been very successful for players, and that seven inter-club matches had been played, of which the local club had won three. During the offseason the greens had been topdressed. The balance-sheet showed n loss of £1 Is 9d for the year, with £34 2s lid at the post ollice. Officers elected were:—Patron, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes; president, Mr I. G. Gricrson; vice-presidents, Messrs W. A. Parsons, W. C. Cole. W. H. Candy, H. D. Greenwood, Dr. T. T. Thompson, and Mr S. Frost; club captain, Mr R. T. Bevcridge; vice-captain, Mr C. A. Wornall; honorary secretary, Mr I. M. Malthus; honorary treasurer, Mr J. Schofield; general committee, Mrs A. A. Holland, Miss Frew, Messrs A. A. Holland. R. Burney, It. 11. Harris, and J. McDonald. It was decided to open the season on April 7, when a mixed foursome! would be played for trophies presented by Mrs E. A. Payne, Miss George, and Miss Payne. For his support, Mr J. H. James, who is also a foundation member, was unanimously elected an honorary life member of the club. A vote of thanks to Mr A. A. Holland (retiring secretary) and Mr H. E. Parsons (retiring captain) was passed, and it was resolved that a record of appreciation of Iheir services! be placed in the minute book. ■

CHRIS'IX uritcil LADIES' CLUB A medal match was played at Shirley yesterday, the winner in the silver medal division being Miss Valmaj Fleming, and the winner in the bnrnze medal division Mrs P. Hallows Wood. The following were the best scores:
