Prisoners found guilty during 'the present session will appear for ; sentence by his Honour Mr Justice : Johnston to-morrow at 10.15 a.m. [SESSIONS OPEN AT NEW PLYMOUTH PRISONERS SENTENCED (l'iiESS ASSOCIATION TBLE3R.VMS.) NEW PLYMOUTH, February 12. For the first time since 1914-15 no criminal cases were set down for trial at the sessions of the Supreme Court which opened to-day before his Honour Mr Justice MacGregor. The following prisoners were sentenced: — Frances Thomas Slade, stablekeeper, aged 43, bigamy—Three months' imprisonment. Gladys Harriet Prout. a single woman, of Hawera, permitting the use of an instrument with the intention of procuring a miscarriage—Ordered to come up if called upon within three years and'to pay £5 towards the costs of the prosecution. I Alexander John Fraser, farmer, aged 43, carnal knowledge—Three months'! imprisonment. Don McMillan, farm labourer, of Tariki, forgery—Four months' imprisonment. Carl Ritter, forgery, uttering, and theft—Nine months' imprisonment, the terms to be concurrent, on each charge. Gerald Sydney Paul, farm labourer, aged 20, of Inglewood, breaking and entering, and theft—Three months' imprisonment.
