SCHOOL PICNIC

The annual picnic of the Waimairi School was held on Thursday at Cor-' sair Bay. Parents and children numbering nearly 400 made the journey. Although the' day was overcast and a cold southerly wind was blowing, an enjoyable time was spent. A sports programme was held. The results were:—

Smith is organising a street appeal and house-to-house canvass of the Papanui district, to be held in conjunction with the appeal to be made in the city on February 23 for the Nurse Maude Association.
