ASSAULT CHARGE
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TSLIORAU.) PALMERSTON N., February 7. Sentence of three years' hard labour, concurrent with a term at present being served* was passed to-day by Mr Justice Blair on lan Archibald McDonald, who had pleaded guilty to assaulting Christian Sorensen, a storekeeper of Himatangi, with intent to rob him. The other man concerned in the incident had already been sentenced to five years' imprisonment, said his Honour, but the police were satisfied that accused was not the person who used the violence. However, he was there, arid in law was responsible for what took place.
