CHARGE OF HARMING WIFE
HAMILTON CASE <>HP.9S ABBOCIATIOM TBLBOHAIO HAMILTON, February 7. Cecil Edwin Wright, aged 42 years, a milk vendor of Frankton, again appeared at the Hamilton Magistrate's Court to-day charged with doing actual bodily harm to his wife, Ethel May Wright, at their home, Whatawhata road, Frankton. on January 20. Dr. F. A. Lamb, in evidence, said that he attended Mrs Wright at her home following the receipt of a telephone message. Witness described her injury. When asked how the injury was caused, Wright replied that there was an altercation over the telephone. He said that his wife had thrown something at him, and he had retaliated by throwing a four pound weight at her, and hitting her. Accused pleaded not guilty. He was committed to the Supreme Court at Hamilton for trial. Bail was renewed.
