The weather was bad in the morning, but improved in the afternoon. , Rifleman D. Roots (Patca) won the championship belt, with a .score of 33G. Rifleman L. Q. Benton (Featherston) was second with 332. Rifleman J. F. Soler (Wanganui) 329 (hird, Rifleman W. Mclver (Petonc) 328 fourth, President H. Hunt (Suburbs) 327 fifth. The champion teams match over 300, 500, and 600 yards was won by Petone (400 points), Wanganui No. 1 (398) was second, Opaki (394) third, Okato (391) fourth, and Wanganui No. 2 (389) fifth.
