COASTGUARDS CARRIED OFF

| * ACTION OF SEIZED VESSEL'S CREW GLACE BAY (Nova Scotia), Dec. 7. Four Canadian coastguardsmen were captured to-day by the crew of the Kromhouts, which is suspected of rum-running. The crew turned on the guards as the vessel was being towed into port. The coastguard cutter Stumble Inn had seized the ship, and the captain assigned four seamen to take it into North Sydney. Striking quickly the Kromhout's crew overpowered their guards and cut loose their ship, which was soon out of range of the coastguard cutter's guns. Government vessels began an immediate search.
