| ♦ — | MINISTER'S STATEMENT TRADE RAPPROCHEMENT WITH OTHER GOLD COUNTRIES I (Received September 14, 9.31 p.m.) PARIS, September 14. M. Serre, Minister for Commerce, in an important speech, proclaimed the Government's determination to remain on the gold standard, and said that a ,plan for the necessary Budgetary adjustment lo enable u to do so was now being prepared. He revealed that commercial negotiations had already been begun I for trade rapprochements with the [ other gold-standard countries.
