ARRESTS IN WELLINGTON.
DOCUMENTS SEIZED BY POLICE. (PP.JBSS ASSOCIATION TJBLEOEAM.'i WELLINGTON, July 28. Several men alleged to be members of the Communist party in Wellington were arrested on warrants by the police to-day. They will appear in the Magistrate's Court to-morrow on a charge of printing and possessing seditious literature. It is understood that the arrests have been made following the seizure of books, documents, and pamphlets in a police raid in the city on June 5. On that occasion the homes of two men were searched on warrants of alleged seditious conspiracy. The literature was handed to the Attorney-Gen-eral for decision as to whether it was seditious under the act.
