THE BUILDING SUBSIDY.
By closing tune yesterday the Labour Department at Christchurch had received 390 applications for the Unemployment Board's subsidy on proposed buildings, alterations, or renovations. The work represents £223,329, of which wages account for £79,304. All told 180 applications have been approved and 12 have been aefinitely refused.
