INSURANCE CLAIM.
SETTLED OUT OF COURT. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELHjEWM.) AUCKLAND, July 12. An action brought by the executors of the late Louis Arnoldson, who died after a motor collision on February 1, has been settled out of court. Before the resumption of the hearing to-day the parties conferred, and counsel later informed the judge that the defendants, the Auckland Underwriters for Lloyd's, and the South British Insurance Company, ancj also a third company, the General Accident, Fire and Assurance Corporation, which also had issued a similar policy to Arnoldson, had agreed to a settlement, while maintaining their position that the death of Arnoldson was not covered by accident policies. The settlement was one which plaintiffs considered to be fair and just. Mr Justice Reed: You cannot be more pleased than I am.
