HARMONIC SOCIETY.
PRESENTATION OF "MARITANA.'' To-morrow evening will see the first of the Harmonic Society's performances of the old and ever popular opera, "Maritana.' The society is anxious to make clear to its patrons that the present corrcerts are being held in the Radiant Hall, where, because of limited accommodation, it is quite likely that the whole of the society's subscribers and ticket-holders wilrnot be able to be accommodated on Saturday evening. It is hoped, therefore, that as many as possible will attend Thursday's concert, as seats on Saturday night can only be guaranteed it booked in advance at Begg's. The revival of "Maritana," with its popular, airs such as "Let Me Like a Soldier Fall" and "Scenes That are Brightest," is sure to be welcomed. The solos are in tried and reliable hands, and the chorus, under its popular conductor, Mr Victor C. Peters, may be relied upon to give a fine performance.
