POWER BOARDS.
HURUNUI. A meeting of 'the Ilnrunui Electric Power Board was held at Waikari, when there were present: Messrs 41. Bethell, A. Cowie, J. J. Duncan, and J. Paton. Mr J. It. Templin, consulting engineer, and Mr U. Buckingham, engineer-secretary, to the North Canterbury Klectric l'ower Board, were also present by invitation. Mr Bethell was elected chairman for the ensuing year, and Mr S. L. Boon was appointed secretary. The question of a proposed amalgamation with the North Canterbury Klectric Pomir Board was again considered, with ji view to the provision of electric power to the Watpara, Waikari, and llawarden districts. It was decided to call meetings of ratepayers in tlie different eveas to explain the whole scheme. The dates were fixed as follows Mnwarden. January 12th; AVailcari, January 12th: Waipara, January HUli.
