75TH ANNIVERSARY.
ST. JOHN'S CHURCH, WOOLSTON. At a meeting to consider what form the 75th anniversary of St. John's Church, Woolston, should take, the Rev. F. A. Tooley presided. It was decided that the celebrations should begin on Sunday, November 13th, and continue till November 20th. An attractive programme ivas drawn up with entertainments for the va . rl ~ ous clubs and unions connected with the church, both past and present. A large gathering is expected for tne general reunion to be held on Tuesday, November 15th. As a result oi the celebrations it is hoped to be able to erect a new Sunday Schoolroom. Every endeavour is being made on the part of the secretaries to get into touch with £>ld parishioners of the district, which in the early days, was known as Lower Heatncote. It is hoped that names and addresses win be forwarded to the secretaries, Messrs E. S. Parish and J. R. Douglas, both of Woolston.
