WHEAT OIL.
REMEDY FOR DEBILITY. COMMENT ON CHRISTCHURCH CLAIM. (UNITED PRESS ISSOCUTIOX—BT BLECTAIO TGI.r.GRAPH—COPYBroET.) LONDON, December 4. Dr. Norman Haire (Medical Director of the Cromer Welfare, Sunlight and Birth Control Centre, London) says that the value of the Christchureh doctor's claim to have discovered that wheat oil is capablo of remedying debility and childlessness depends on the of a vitamin with rejuvenating properties, already rocognised in wholemeal bread, which has long been prescribed for cases where vitality and fertility are low.
The discovery may be important ill permitting larger quantities of this vitamin to bo taken iil a concentrated form, obviating the necessity for eating several loaves. It is not likely to supersede the Voronoff or Steinach glandular treatments, as the latter give wider and more sustained effects.
