HORSE-TRAINER'S DEATH.
INQUEST CONCLUDED. The adjourned inquost on Charles Neville Digby, a liorse-traincr, single, aged 28, who was found hanging from a tree in the grounds opposite the lliccarton School on November 3rd, was concluded yesterday Ijefore Mr 11. L*. Lawry, S.M. Baden Cecil Penney, a school teacher, of 75 Hinau street, Riccarion, gave evidence of Undine the body, wTiieh appeared to have been hanging there for some days. Mrs Mary Pilling, a' boarding-houso proprietor, said she knew Digby, who had lived at her place, on the last occasion from October 22nd to October 26th, Digby had been in gdod health and had always been'able to pay his board. Witness knew that he bad lost money at the races at various times, but she did not understand that these losses had seriously embarrassed him. A constable stated that Digby's body indicated that he had been dead for about a week. A bank pass-book found on the dead man's clothing showed a number of withdrawals and the bank advised witness that the account had been closed. The verdict was that Dicby committed sufcido by hanging on October 26th at Upper Jlicnnrton.
