■ « BABBIT BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION An enjoyable evoning was spent in tho Bu»lders r Hall, Gloucester street, last night at a social evening arranged by the Canterbury' Rabbit Breeders' A&sodatUHi on the occasion of the drawing of the Association's art union. Mr W. G. Symes, vice-president of the Association* presented the trophres and prizes won at the Association's first unnual *>how. Mr Byrnes congratulated the osecutive of the Association on the wonderful' progress made during the .past year, an<l ho expressed great confluence for the future ot rabbit farming in New Zealand. His personal knowledge of the revival of sound markets for both Angora and Chinchilla pelto convinced him that existing breeders were pioneering an industry which would undoubtedly be one of the most successful primary industries in New Zealand. During the evening opportunity was token by Mr R. A. Oawber to thank Mr H. Lawrence for his untiring efforts in organising a very successlul show, and on behalf of the Association he pre* dented Mr Lawrence with a gold fountain pen Musical items were given by Meednmes Rudford, Dawbcr, Madsen, niU, Wright, and Messrs Richards, Uawber, and Lawrence. Dancing Was also enjoyed.
