ANNUAL COMPETITIONS. ■1 ■" Tlie Canterbury Band of Hope Union's annual competitions were continued in the Durham street School Hall last evening before an appreciative audience. The judges for tlie evening Wore: —Pianoforte, Miss Carpenter and Mr Davis; vocal, Mrs Graham; musical monologue, Mrs Shaw. R.), Isobel McLean (Ricuart'on United). Highly commended: Florence Dwight (Linwood 1.0. R.), Ashleigh K. Petch (Miidran street Mothodist), Ellen Lester (Bpreydon Baptist), Dorothy Sanders (Riccarton United). Musical Monologue, Section 1., own selection—Recalls: Norma Btiirrock (St. Paul')B.
