HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES.

The programme arranged by the Y.M.C.A. for the spring holidays was a most successful one. Many inspections were made of primary and secondary industries, and picnics were held. The commercial concorns visited and the numbers of the parties wore as follows:- Cyclone Gate Company 70, Peplers' Furniture Factory 70, Anderson's Foundry 95, Wood Bros.' Flour Mill 85, Edmonds's Baking Powder Factory 120, Suckling's Boot Factory 68, Skclton, Frostick's Boot Factory 40, Railway Workshops 133, Gas Works So, Luke Adams's Pottery Works 130, Quill, Morris's Cordial factory 132, vVoolston Tanneries 92,, itlurphy Bros. Brick v>orks 34, Aladdren iiros.' Rope Works i 5, Buntings Brush V\ orks 75, VVhitconibo aud i'onibs' Printing Works 81), Bradley Bios. 89, Stacey and Hawker 63, Liggins's Poultry Farm 41; total, 1586. A visit is to be made to-day to the Wigram Aerodrome, when it is anticipated, if it is fine, there will be 120 to 150 present. The total last year was 940. (excluding the visit to the aerodrome, which totalled 50. In addition, 103 boys travelled to Little River on- Friday for a picnic, and walked over Mt. Toeka to Tirdling's Flat. Considering the fact that so many days were wet. the attendance is considered to be a biir indication of tho growth of tho work of the Y.M.C.A. in the boys' department.
