RABBIT BREEDERS.
ASSOCIATION MEETING. There was a good attendance of members at the second annual meeting of the Cantorbury Babbit Breeders' Association, held last evening. Mr W G. Wright presided. The annual leport, which was adopted, stated that the year's progress had been gratifying. The financial position of the Association, after its first year of existence, was satisfactory. During the year the Association had organised an art union in order to supplement its funds, the drawing of which had been postponed until September 18th. A steady increase in membership waß also reported. Seven new members were nominated and elected. >
Com spondence in connexion with a proposal to lorm a New Zealand Rabbit. Breeders' Association was read, and it was decided to hold over consideration of the matter until the next general meeting. The treasurer reported a small credit bal ance on the year's financial activities. A vote of thanks was passed to the president (Mr Wright) for his services during the year. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, Mr W. Wright: vice-presidents, Misses L. and EJ. Wilßon, Messrs E. D. Masters, W. E. Simea, G. Radford, secretary, Mr J. 6. H. Cox; treasurer, Mr H. A. Dawber; assistant secretary, Mr A. Lawrence; executive committee, Messrs T. Lewis, A. S. Pratley, Hill, A. E. Loach. A. L. Atteo, A. C. Smart. A committee, consisting of Messrs C. T. Dawson, G A. Hayman. H. G. Tombs, and execniive officers, was appointed to bring a report on the registration of stud rabbits Executive officers and Mesdames Dawber, Lewis, Loach, and Wright and Miss Wright were elected a library committee. All lady members of the Association were appointed a social committee.
