MANUFACTURERS.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Manufacturers' Association was held last evening, and was attended by Messrs I. Woolf (chairman), F. L. Hutchinson, C. H. Burson, W. R. Crompton, G. H. Maddren, A. C. Mercer, R. Spencer, F. C. Penfold, G. H. Congreve, A. W. Beaven, J. W. Thomas, C. S. McCully, R. H. Webb, Val. D. Evans, E. Arch bold. A. G. Cannons, F. W. Belton, and A. M. West. It was decided to contribute £5 6s to the Empire Shopping Week Committee.
The executive decided to forward a letter of thanks to the Christchurch City Council for its action in accepting the tender of a local firm for the manufacture of insulators.
